About the job
Celsion is hiring a Risk Analyst / Associate to strengthen our growing Risk Control team (60–100%). Reporting to the Head of Risk Control, you will play a hands-on role executing our enterprise-wide risk framework as we transition into a fully licensed digital-asset bank.
Your primary focus will be on operational risk—including maintenance of risk and control registers, event monitoring, and recurring tasks—but you'll also gain exposure to financial risk, stress testing, and ICT/cyber risk. You’ll combine practical execution with analytics: automating reporting, building dashboards, and helping develop KRIs, while supporting remediation and ad hoc projects.
As part of a fast-growing startup bank, you’ll work across the full risk spectrum and have the opportunity to evolve into an Operational Risk Manager, Financial Risk Manager, or ICT Risk Manager based on your interests and strengths.
What you offer
Required qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Ideally 1–3 years of experience in risk management, finance, banking/fintech, or data analytics — or strong academic/technical background with willingness to learn.
- Solid understanding of risk management practices (operational risk, incidents, controls, registers) with interest in broadening into financial and ICT risk.
- Strong analytics & reporting skills with Excel and at least one BI platform (Power BI preferred).
- Comfortable working with data: able to query and prepare datasets, and use scripting or coding (SQL, Python, R, or similar) to automate reporting and dashboards.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail: capable of managing registers, recurring tasks, and follow-ups in a structured way.
- Strong communication skills: able to work with process owners across the bank and ensure tasks are completed.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn across multiple risk areas (operational, financial, ICT/cyber).
- Business-level German (spoken) for daily interactions; English proficiency required for written documentation.
Preferred qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Exposure to banking or fintech risk management (operational, credit, liquidity, incident management).
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (MiCAR, DORA, Basel standards).
- Experience maintaining a risk register, control register, or using GRC tooling.
